Goldberg has revealed his first thoughts on his final WWE match with Gunther, but he’s not allowed to go into too much detail.

Gunther put Goldberg to sleep to retain his World Heavyweight Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Goldberg apologised to Gunther after an awkward moment in their main event bout, but one thing is stopping the WCW icon from divulging his true feelings.

The reason Goldberg is not allowed to tell too much about his retirement match has been revealed, as well as the date he will be able to.

Goldberg is currently in a ‘non-disclosure situation’ about WWE match

Goldberg appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show on July 15, but he revealed he wasn’t allowed to go into too much detail on his final WWE match.

“I have two weeks before I can really spill the beans and make my feelings kind of known about the entire rundown, from the inception of the idea to its delivery,” said Goldberg about his retirement.

According to a former WWE insider this is due to a legal obligation between Goldberg and the wrestling company.

Speaking on SportsKeeda WrestleBinge, Bill Apter said: “He’s in a non-disclosure situation right now where he can’t go into detail about it.”

Should Goldberg’s ‘two weeks’ claim be correct, the WCW icon will be free to give his true feelings on July 29.

In The Ariel Helwani interview, Goldberg was complimentary about working with Gunther but showed his discontent about being cut off by the NBC feed.

Goldberg talks one final wrestling match after retirement

Despite all the bells and whistles of his final WWE match, Goldberg has not ruled out returning to the ring.

Asked if he was definitely retired by Ariel Helwani, the star said: “I can’t say that. In principle, yeah, I’m done.

He continued: “In the world of professional wrestling, I guess you’re not retired until you’re dead. In principle, yeah, I’m retired.”

Goldberg wrestled 65 matches in WWE after joining the company after the dissolution of WCW in the early 2000s.
