Seth Rollins shocked the world by screwing CM Punk out of the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, but his boss, Triple H, is not happy about one aspect of the move.
Rollins ‘injured’ himself at Saturday Night’s Main Event and hadn’t been seen since July 12 before returning at the end of SummerSlam.
CM Punk defeated Gunther at SummerSlam after an incredible main event, but he was shocked by his arch nemesis who returned with his Money in the Bank briefcase in two.
Despite the incredibly shocking moment, Triple H has revealed one thing with Rollins he wasn’t entirely happy with.

Triple H says Seth Rollins lied to him about his injury
Fresh from his stint breaking down the industry on WWE: Unreal, Triple H decided to keep kayfabe alive after the events of SummerSlam.
Triple H appeared on the SummerSlam post-show to commend Rollins for ‘playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers’.
However, The Game did have one issue with the way Rollins went about his Money in the Bank cash in on Punk.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer said he was: “Not thrilled about bogus medical reports, but we’ll deal with that down the line.”
The Game, of course, booked and orchestrated the entire thing, but it’s nice that he’s trying to keep some semblance of realism in WWE these days.
What’s next for Seth Rollins and CM Punk?
As great as the main event and closing angle of SummerSlam was, Rollins and Punk continuing their feud seems an odd choice from Triple H.
The pair has been feuding virtually since Punk’s return at Survivor Series in 2023, and, with little time left in Punk’s WWE career, it would have been nice for the star to lock up with other wrestlers.
Hopefully, Rollins and Punk’s blow-off match is sooner rather than later and Punk can get the title back ahead of the road to WrestleMania 42 in 2026.
Punk vs Rhodes and Rollins vs Royal Rumble winner Sami Zayn should absolutely be the play for WWE’s big show next year.
