Goldberg’s final WWE match was generally well-received by WWE fans, but it’s been revealed that he injured a star at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Goldberg lost to Gunther in his final WWE match as he was put to sleep by the World Heavyweight Champion.
Gunther bragged about retiring Goldberg, but not everyone was safe from the WCW icon’s famous power.
One star was unfortunately injured during Goldberg’s final match and WWE fans were quick to make the same joke.

WWE fans make Bret Hart joke after Goldberg injures referee
Goldberg hit referee Charles Robinson with an accidental Spear in his match with Gunther and he’s reportedly injured.
Fans were quick to point out Bret Hart when the news broke about Goldberg cracking referee Charles Robinson’s rib during his final match with Gunther.
Hart was famously concussed by Goldberg during a WCW match in the 1990s, which forced the icon to retire early.
Fans were quick to follow in Hart’s footsteps by pointing out Goldberg’s reckless nature inside the squared circle.
“Bret Hart is about to have a field day,” said one fan on social. Another said: “Please don’t let Bret Hart find this!”
The references to the legendary WWE Hall of Famer didn’t end there. One fan wrote: “Bret Hart is somewhere punching his pillow!”
“I’m patiently waiting for Bret Hart’s reaction to this,” said one fan as Goldberg’s final match was marred by injury.
WWE Hall of Famer was impressed by Goldberg’s final match
Despite the injury controversy, Goldberg’s final match has been lauded by former WWE stars and JBL has joined the praise.
“I thought it was awesome,” said WWE Hall of Famer JBL about Goldberg’s retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
JBL was suspicious about Goldberg bowing out, but he was pleasantly surprised. “This looked really cool,” he added. “I thought what they did was incredibly well done.”
Goldberg’s final match came 28 years after the star made his WCW debut against Hugh Morrus on Monday Night Nitro.
