After the events of WWE Clash in Paris, the company started its momentum building to the first-ever Wrestlepalooza.

WWE confirmed its first match for the card, which is also expected to feature Brock Lesnar vs John Cena, and Drew McIntyre vs Cody Rhodes.

The Paris, France card continued the incredible atmosphere they brought for Clash in Paris for a card that featured Dominik Mysterio vs AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship.

Here are five things we learned from WWE Raw.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Iyo Sky set for WWE Wrestlepalooza

Following Naomi vacating the Women’s World Championship, Adam Pearce confirmed Stephanie Vaquer vs Iyo Sky as a number-one contender’s match.

The bout will take place at WWE’s Wrestlepalooza, which is bound to be a stacked show as it’s competing with AEW’s All Out on September 20.

The match has added mystery heading into it due to Asuka’s impending heel turn and Rhea Ripley’s relationship with Iyo Sky.

Could they cancel each other out for Vaquer to be a first-time World Champion within a WWE ring?

Fans shut down WWE Raw for AJ Styles, but he still loses

WWE fans brought the energy for AJ Styles’ entrance, but it wasn’t enough for The Phenomenal One to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

The Judgment Day were banned from ringside, but Dominik Mysterio had another trick up his sleeve to pick up the win.

El Grande Americano attacked Styles when he looked to have the match won, which allowed Mysterio to pick up the win to retain his title.

This felt like a huge missed opportunity for one of the best moments of the year, as the French crowd would surely have exploded for a win.

Rhea Ripley and CM Punk tease new union to take on Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins

While Ripley and Punk have shared promotional duties for WWE: Unreal, the pair have rarely overlapped on-screen.

That changed in Paris as the two stars shared a backstage segment, in which Ripley apologised to Punk for what happened at Clash in Paris.

Fans were certain Becky Lynch’s attack on Punk could lead to an AJ Lee WWE return, but perhaps Ripley could fill that spot.

Ripley and Punk would certainly be a fan favourite for a tag team, and the match would be more than high-profile enough for a WWE PLE.

CM Punk and Becky Lynch drop AJ Lee return tease

Punk and Becky Lynch met in the middle of the ring as the Irish star gloated about costing the Best in the World his Clash in Paris match.

It appears the impending reports about a WWE return for AJ Lee could have substance as Becky Lynch responded to fans’ AJ Lee chants.

Punk walked out of the segment and teased an appearance on WWE SmackDown this week as it’s in his hometown of Chicago.

Could this be the place WWE pulls the trigger on Lee’s first appearance in the company for a decade?

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed defeat LA Knight and Jey Uso

The main event saw Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker take on LA Knight and Jey Uso in the main event, following the four-way and Roman Reigns’ injury at Clash in Paris.

The two monsters worked over Uso and Knight for most of the match as the Paris crowd tried to get behind the babyfaces.

Knight and Uso fought back to an extent where it looked like they would pick up the win, but Reed made the save after Uso tried to pin Reed.

Breakker eventually picked up the win by hitting Uso with a Spear, and the beat-down continued from The Vision after the match.

Jimmy Uso came down to make the save with a steel chair as the raucous Paris show went off the air.
