WWE makes history at MetLife Stadium as the company produced their first-ever two-night SummerSlam event.
The company has booked a stacked 12-match card across the weekend at East Rutherford, New Jersey, with all of the WWE’s top stars in action.
Roman Reigns competes for the first time since WrestleMania 41 and John Cena’s last-ever run with the WWE Championship could come to an end.
Here are all of our predictions from WWE SummerSlam night one on August 2.
Bron Breakker picks up biggest WWE win yet against Roman Reigns

After the beat-down of Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on WWE Raw, this all-star tag team match could be the making of Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
Reigns is an excellent seller when he believes in his opponent, as exhibited in his feuds with Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa, and that’s certainly what he did on WWE Raw on July 28.
Their SummerSlam tag team match should follow the same pattern, with Breakker picking up a dominant victory over Reigns.
This would be historic as it would be the first time Reigns has lost two matches in a row for a long time, following his loss to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41.
Prediction: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed defeat Roman Reigns and Jey Uso
Jade Cargill becomes the Women’s World Champion

Triple H tends to keep his big title swaps at WWE’s big show and that’s what he could do with Jade Cargill vs Tiffany Stratton.
Stratton has had a good run with the belt and she’s established herself as a top star, so it’s time for her to pass the baton to Cargill.
WWE is clearly hot on Cargill, who became one of a select few stars who jump from AEW and not have to go through NXT.
Cargill can look ropey in the ring at times, but there’s no doubting her star power. Plus, high-profile matches with Bianca Belair and Nia Jax look incredibly appealing with Cargill as champ.
Prediction: Jade Cargill defeats Tiffany Stratton
Randy Orton and Jelly Roll pick up a debut WWE win

The celebrity tag team match between Jelly Roll and Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul is currently up in the air due to the Scottish Warrior’s travel issues, but the match winner is not in doubt.
Jelly Roll and Orton will be picking up the win no matter who they face, whether it’s McIntyre, or The Miz, or even Carmelo Hayes.
This has been a vehicle for Jelly Roll to prove his in-ring acumen, and that’s all anyone will be looking at come SummerSlam.
The likes of Orton and McIntyre deserve better for WWE’s second biggest show of the year, but this could end up being a fun match.
Prediction: Jelly Roll and Randy Orton pick up the win
The Judgment Day defeat Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair

The Tag Team Championship match between Judgment Day and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair could, quietly, end up being the best match of the night.
Both teams have proved themselves in recent weeks, with Bliss and Flair in particular being an entertaining delight.
There seems to be more storyline left in the Judgment Day, particularly with Liv Morgan yet to return to the fold, so it’s likely they’ll be keeping hold of the gold.
As for Flair and Bliss, there could be an early trigger pulled for the duo as they transition into a singles feud of their own.
Prediction: The Judgment Day defeat Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
Sami Zayn defeats Karrion Kross

The stipulation for Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross might go down as one of the worst in WWE’s history. It is, shockingly, as follows: “If Kross wins, Zayn has to say the words ‘Kross was right’. If Zayn wins, Kross must say ‘I was wrong’ about Zayn.”
After WrestleMania 41, Zayn looked all-but-confirmed to win the World Heavyweight Championship, but Triple H has dropped the ball with the plucky Canadian.
While that could – and should – still come, most likely with a Royal Rumble win in Saudi Arabia in 2025, it is crucial Zayn picks up the win here.
As popular as he is in certain quarters, Kross is just not quite good enough in the ring to sustain a lengthy push.
Zayn should move on to bigger and better things after this strange SummerSlam bout.
Prediction: Sami Zayn defeats Karrion Kross
CM Punk overcomes Gunther to win seventh WWE World Title

CM Punk has proved why he’s one of the best stars in the world during his World Heavyweight Championship build with Gunther.
Given just a few weeks to build the huge title match, the Best in the World has built a detailed story that fans have truly bought into.
As revealed on WWE: Unreal, this match was set to be at WrestleMania 41, which implies there could be a new champion.
Punk is yet to win WWE gold since his iconic 2023 return at Survivor Series, but this feels like the right time for the star.
Prediction: CM Punk defeats Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship
